Local Storage Only

All data you create in Habit Sprout, including:

• Streak information
• Reminder settings

...is stored exclusively on your device using local database storage. This data:

• Never leaves your device
• Is not transmitted to any servers
• Is not accessible by us or any third parties
• Is not backed up to cloud services by our app

Data Persistence

Your data remains on your device until you:

• Manually delete the app
• Clear the app's data through your device settings
• Reset your device

Permissions We Request

Notifications Permission

Purpose: To send you habit reminder notifications that you configure within the app.

How it's used:

• Only to deliver reminders you have explicitly set up
• Notifications are generated and delivered locally on your device
• No notification data is sent to external servers

Exact Alarm Permission

Purpose: To ensure your habit reminders are delivered at the precise times you specify.

How it's used:

• To schedule reminder notifications at exact times
• Required by Android for time-sensitive local notifications
• No scheduling data is transmitted externally

Third-Party Services

Habit Sprout does not integrate with any third-party services that collect data. We do not use:

• Analytics services (Google Analytics, Firebase Analytics, etc.)
• Advertising networks
• Crash reporting services that collect user data
• Social media integrations
• Cloud storage services

Children's Privacy

Habit Sprout does not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone, including children under 13 years of age. Since we do not collect any data, we are compliant with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and similar regulations.

Data Security

Since all data is stored locally on your device:

• Your data is protected by your device's security measures (PIN, password, biometrics)
• We recommend keeping your device secure and updated

• There is no data to request deletion of (you control all data locally)

Data Deletion

To delete all your Habit Sprout data:

• Through Android Settings: Go to Settings → Apps → Habit Sprout → Storage → Clear Data
• By Uninstalling: Uninstalling the app removes all associated data

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy and providing notice through the app for significant changes.
